Oracle Text is a powerful tool that is an integral part of the Oracle database. ORDS recommended by Oracle for implementing RESTful web services for Oracle. In this presentation, and through building practical examples, attendees will learn how to build a REST API to enable Oracle Text searching on their application. Topics to be covered include: - a brief introduction to text searching with Oracle Text - a brief intro to building ORDS web services in PL/SQL - the definition of an text search API - the implementation of text searching via an API using ORDS and PL/SQL
