Database 12c contains a lot of new functionality to support approximate queries. This session will explore some of the concepts behind approximate query processing including two key areas: error rates and confidence intervals. The presentation will cover real-world business scenarios where approximate answers are indeed good enough and how existing code can be forced to use approximate functions with zero code changes. As part of the live demos we will show how approximate functions are more efficient at using system resources such as memory and temp, which frees up system resources to run even more queries.
The conference is organized by the Croatian Association of Oracle users. More about the association can be found at Hroug.hr.
